AviTech tied for first place in a community food drive donating over 800 lbs alone. The AviTech team participated in a food drive competition for the Joseph House just prior to Christmas. The competition was between a few local businesses. Team names were used by the contributors and AviTech entered into it with the name “Chickenpluckers”. The team very enthusiastically challenged each other within themselves to keep bringing more food in and with this they donated their 800 lbs of food. The total amount donated by all of the teams involved in the food drive was 2 tons. The donation was featured on the local news and the Joseph House was very thankful stating “This is one of the largest donations that we’ve seen in a while.”
